Motorola Edge 40 Neo Launched – Dimensity 7030 Chip Support, 144Hz Screen And IP68


 Motorola announced a new mid-range device offering through the Edge 40 Neo. It is marketed as a more affordable device that can be an alternative to the previous Edge 40. At the same time, there is no drastic change in terms of design between the two.



To be more specific, the device uses a 6.55-inch pOLED FHD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. This is also matched with a MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processing chip, 12GB RAM memory and 256GB internal storage. The battery is 5000mAh with a 68W TurboPower fast charging system that can be recharged using a USB-C port.



Also supported is a 50MP main camera system that supports built-in OIS, in addition to an ultra-wide 13MP with a field of view of up to 120 degrees. Then the selfie camera is 32MP which is placed in a small hole on the front screen. Other specifications include running Android 13, stereo speakers, NFC and IP68 waterproofing.



The device is sold at €399 (~RM1,990) in several color options such as PANTONE Caneel Bay, PANTONE Black Beauty and PANTONE Soothing Sea. No details on its availability in Malaysia are known at this time.
