Mozilla is now announcing the rebranding of registered accounts formerly known as Firefox Accounts to Mozilla Accounts.
This step was taken because it will make it easier for the variety of services under Mozilla to be able to use Mozilla Accounts without causing confusion among users - and not just Firefox-branded services.
For information, Mozilla also has Pocket, Mozilla VPN and Fakespot services. The branding is also said to provide greater exposure to other Mozilla products – as well as a consistent experience for all.
This change is more than just branding. There is nothing the user needs to do at this time. This branding process is expected to start on November 1, 2023.
