Apple today officially introduced the iPhone 15 series. Two smartphones were introduced under the iPhone 15 series, and two under the iPhone 15 Pro series.
First, under the iPhone 15 series, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus were introduced. The main focus of the introduction of this series is the use of USB-C based chargers and connectors – thus replacing the use of Lightning for so long.
This at the same time standardizes the use of chargers between iPhone, iPad and even MacBook.
In addition, all iPhone models also now come with Dynamic Island - which is a "pill"-shaped area on the front screen, and is adapted with the use of animation on it in the form of notifications and other content display methods.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus come with the Apple A16 chip as found in last year's iPhone 14 model. In terms of design too, it's not that much different from last year's model. As usual, both these models also offer 5G support along with it.
The iPhone 15 comes with a 6.1-inch screen, while the iPhone 15 Plus comes with a 6.7-inch screen. Both also include dual rear cameras with the main sensor being 48-megapixel. Apple also promises all-day battery life with both models.
In Malaysia, the iPhone 15 series will be sold from September 29, 2023. The iPhone 15 model will be sold at a price starting at RM4399, while the iPhone 15 Plus will be sold at a price starting at RM4899.
