Dynamic Island seems to have been a trend ever since its introduction on the iPhone 14 Pro. Xiaomi has brought more or less the same feature on their Civi series, realme with the Mini Capsule on the C series and Huawei also offers it on the Huawei Mate60 Pro.
The latest OnePlus is seen offering on their device through Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14. This feature is seen limited to the voice recorder application in the camera hole on the screen. When this small oval icon is pressed, a large window similar to Dynamic Island on iOS will appear for additional controls.
According to sources, this feature is still in testing and the animation doesn't look very smooth. Also not sure if OnePlus will add another feature that will have more or less the same properties as their voice recorder app.
Oxygen OS 14 based on Android 14 can now be tested on OnePlus 11 devices. However it is not recommended as it is reported to be full of bugs and not stable enough. This operating system is expected to be offered to OnePlus users from around October to November.
