Samsung's Exynos Mid-Class Chips Will Also Be Equipped with AMD GPUs

The collaboration between Samsung and AMD has so far produced the Eyxnos 2100 chip which is seen as less successful because it is unable to match the performance of Apple, MediaTek and Qualcomm chips. The company's collaboration has continued with a report from Android Authority that two mid-range Exynos chips will also use AMD GPUs.

The Exynos 1480 and Exynos 1430 chips will be equipped with RDNA-based AMD GPUs. However, this GPU will give importance to function as an ISP and not focus on primary performance. We previously reported that the Eyxnos 2400 was being developed for the Galaxy S24 series in Europe. It is believed to be equipped with a 10-core CPU and AMD GPU Xclipse 940 which has 12 CU.

Samsung has already expressed its intention to produce a special Exynos chip for Galaxy such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy this year. But their issue at the moment is that consumers prefer Qualcomm Snapdragon chips specifically in the Malaysian market. Are customers in some markets to be content if they can only buy devices with less competitive Exynos chips?
