Sony has now started pre-order sessions for two new cameras, the Alpha A7C II and the Alpha A7CR in Malaysia. The selling price starts at RM10,499 for the Alpha A7C II body and increases to RM11,999 when paired with the SEL2860 (FE 28-60mm F4-5.6) lens. Meanwhile, the Alpha A7CR camera is sold at RM14,999 for the body only.
Pre-orders can be made starting today until 31 October 2023 with exciting prizes of up to RM631 given for the purchase of the Alpha A7C II. Then the purchase of the Alpha A7CR comes with a gift worth up to RM881. In addition, Sony is also offering a free gift of up to RM250 for the purchase of the FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM II lens priced at RM11,399, but the promotion is limited until 1 October.
The Sony Alpha 7C II is equipped with a full-frame 33MP Exmor R CMOS sensor that allows recording images up to 10 frames per second and videos up to 4K/60FPS. This is also paired with a Bionz XR image processing chip and a five-axis stabilization system for a better experience.
Through this sensor, the camera can also record 4K/60p video in Super35 format, FHD up to 120p, offers 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling, and supports HLG, S-Log3, S-Cinetone and LUTs. At the same time the standard features of the Sony Alpha camera, namely human, animal, face and eye focusing modes can also be selected.
Talking about the Sony Alpha A7CR, it is equipped with a 61MP sensor from the Exmor R CMOS family which is matched with a Bionz XR processor chip. In addition, there is also a 7-axis optical image stabilization system that is also assisted by a focusing system that uses artificial intelligence.
Video recording capabilities are up to 4K/60p with 6.2K oversampling in Super35 and FHD format at 120p. The camera also has a 3″ LCD screen with a 1,036,800 dot EVF that can be rotated freely.
