Sony Xperia 5 V Is Now Official – Comes With Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip, And Dual-Rear Cameras

Sony today introduced their latest compact phone, the Sony Xperia 5 V. This new phone offers a number of upgrades over the previous generation, including updates to the processing chip.

Sony Xperia 5 V comes with a 6.1-inch FHD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, 8GB RAM memory, and 128GB storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. Sony has also retained the 21:9 aspect ratio design on this smartphone, in addition to the 3.5mm audio jack.

For image recording, Sony uses a dual rear camera – which combines a 52-megapixel 1/1.35-inch main sensor along with a 12-megapixel ultrawide sensor. The Xperia 5 V also includes a 12-megapixel sensor on the front. Video editing software is also included to make it easier for users to edit and share directly through the phone.

Completing this phone is a 5000mAh battery. Sony doesn't include a charger in the box, and you have to get it separately.

For now, the local sales price is still unknown. The previous generation model was sold by Sony at a price of RM4899 in Malaysia.
