Tecno Phantom V Flip 5G has been officially launched today. It is the first clamshell foldable phone from Tecno, which also focuses on mid-spec devices.
In terms of design, it features a 1.32-inch round AMOLED secondary screen (466 X 466 pixels) that is also loaded with main dual-camera support. This external display can also be used for a number of things including the camera. Next, the back panel uses a leather-based material that can be found in two color finishes, either black or purple.
When opened, this device offers a 6.9-inch AMOLED FHD+ main screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. Tecno also claims that this device can work well up to 200,000 folds without any noticeable effect. Also included is a side fingerprint scanning system integrated on the power button.
Next, the device also uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chip, 8GB LPDDR4 RAM memory and 256GB storage for its mainstay. This is also combined with a 4,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging via a USB-C port, in addition to a 64MP + 13MP main camera configuration and a 32MP selfie camera.
Other specifications include built-in 5G support, bluetooth 5.3, NFC and running a custom HiOS 13.5 based on Android 13. The selling price of the device is INR49,999 (~RM2,827) apiece.
