WhatsApp is quite a popular messaging application. It is offered on many platforms including on Windows, iOS, Android and even the web. However, for tablets so far it has been limited to Android devices only and WhatsApp on iPad can only be accessed through Safari.
Most recently, Meta is seen to have started beta testing for the WhatsApp app on the iPad. Unlike the WhatsApp application on Android tablets that can log in directly with the user's phone number, the iPad version is limited to the Connected Devices feature only.
Not sure why users are not allowed to use phone numbers directly. After WhatsApp on iPad is connected to the user's smartphone via a QR code, the messaging application can continue to be used as long as the iPad is connected to the Internet.
WhatsApp for iPad can only be tested by those who have access to the Beta feature on iOS. For now it is still uncertain when it will be distributed to all users. Those who have been waiting for WhatsApp for iPad can finally relax and look forward to the arrival of this messaging app soon.
