A few days ago we reported that 12-month subscription prices for PlayStation Plus Essential, PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Plus Deluxe would be increased worldwide. At that time the subscription price in Malaysia has not yet been confirmed by Sony. Today the new subscription prices of these three plans are as below.

PlayStation Plus Essential RM235 RM159 47.7%
PlayStation Plus Extra RM400 RM269 48.7%
PlayStation Plus Deluxe RM460 RM309 48.9.%
A very sharp price increase with an average price increase of 48.4%. Buying a 12 month subscription is still cheaper than buying it month by month. But it cannot be denied that an increase of almost 50% is very high. Sony said the price increase was necessary to offer better quality games and services to their customers.
