TikTok Displays Labels On AI-Generated Content

In the modern world, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to produce fake content is one of the issues that is still difficult to monitor. Videos with modified sound can easily be defamatory. As one of the world's leading video platforms, TikTok is now introducing labels on AI-generated content.

The content will have a special label “AI-generated” at the bottom of the video title. TikTok users who use realistic image, audio and video content generated using AI need to label the uploaded content to meet TikTok's policy.

TikTok will also label content that it feels is generated by AI automatically after this. Unlabeled AI content may be removed by TikTok according to new community guidelines. To reduce confusion, TikTok will produce several tutorial videos explaining its AI content policy in the coming weeks.

This is more or less the same feature introduced by Google, where image searches on Google Search will display special labels on images generated by generative artificial intelligence.
