Google has expressed concern in getting young people to continue using their search engine as their home page. This is because of the presence of several social applications that make users search directly on it, including on TikTok and Twitter.
However, now Google's worries may be abated a bit, as TikTok is testing Google search integration on their app.
On the search page on TikTok, it was tested by displaying content from Google search directly, while opening a link on the web page. For now, it is just an initial test, and it is not known whether it will be widely tested or not.
According to TikTok, they are currently testing third-party integrations on their app. Previously, TikTok had also tested Wikipedia integration on the search page.
If this Google integration is fully realized, it is not impossible that we see TikTok can also generate income from Google for this purpose, while Google itself can continue to strengthen their position in the search arena.
