Vivo Y17s has just been officially launched in Singapore, at the same time completing the product segment. It is also marketed as an affordable entry-level device specifically for budget-conscious users.
Vivo Y17s is equipped with a 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution, in addition to supporting a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 480nits. This is also matched with a Helio G85 chip, 6GB RAM LPDDR4X memory, 128GB eMMc internal storage and a 5000mAh battery with 15W charging.
The main camera system includes a main 50MP, which is followed by 2MP for portrait purposes. Next is the 8MP selfie camera which is placed in a small notch. The device also offers a 3.5mm audio jack, IP54 waterproofing, bluetooth 5.3 connectivity and a USB-C port.
With a price tag of SGD 199 (~RM684), this smartphone is available in two colors either Glitter Purple and Forest Green. It was also found to have passed SIRIM certification in Malaysia, indicating that we may be able to see its offerings in the near future.
