Twitter is currently going through various changes. Since rebranding to X, there have been many new features introduced Most recently, X has updated their privacy policy and will begin collecting users' biometric data and employment and education history.
According to Bloomberg, the biometric data is for identity verification for X Premium (formerly Twitter Blue) customers. After verifying the identity with the government document, X will use the biometric data to ensure it matches the document.
Employment history data is collected for the newly introduced vacancy advertising feature. X will also collect data on education history, abilities, desired job characteristics, job search history and more for X to suggest suitable jobs, share it with X's employees as new employee candidates and also for advertisements that are more relevant to users' interests.
