Today Xiaomi held the Xiaomi's Smart Living Showcase event to showcase their various smart home products that are always connected in the same ecosystem. At the same time, they also launched five new smart televisions under the Xiaomi TV A series.
Xiaomi TV A Pro 43″, 55″, 65″
There are three sizes in the Xiaomi TV A Pro model which are 43-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch. In terms of design, specifications, features and functions are all the same. Each of these televisions supports a 4K (3840 x 2160) Dolby Vision HDR10+ 60Hz display.
For audio, a stereo system of 2x 12W audio drivers is used powered by Dolby Audio, DTS-X, and DTS Virtual:X. This Xiaomi TV A Pro is powered by a Cortex-A55 quad-core chip + Mali G52 MP2 GPU paired with 2GB RAM memory and 16GB internal storage.
This smart TV also supports WiFi 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0, optical digital port, AV, 3x HDMI 2.0 (1x eARC), 2x USB-A 2.0, 1x Ethernet, 15x CI Slot and 1x 3.5mm audio jack.
For the operating system Xiaomi uses Google TV complete with Chromecast, Miracast, Google Assistant as well as a hub to control Internet of Things devices at home. This Xiaomi TV A Pro offers an immersive viewing experience with a thin bezel design.
Xiaomi TV A 32″, 43″, 55″
For Xiaomi TV A, there are also three models but this time with mid-range specifications and a more affordable price. All three specifications are also more or less the same with the main difference only in resolution and size. During this event, Xiaomi Malaysia stated that the 32-inch model will only be offered in the future and only the 43-inch and 55-inch models will be sold first.
The Xiaomi TV A also runs Google TV, complete with Google Assistant, Chromecast support, Dolby Audio, DTS:X and DTS Virtual X audio and the same Internet of Things device control hub on the Pro model.
The 55-inch model has support for 3x HDMI 2.0 (1x eARC) + 1x USB-A 2.0 + 1x Ethernet + 1x AV + 1x Digital optical, while the 43-inch only has 2x HDMI 2.0 + 2x USB-A 2.0 and others are the same except audio is replaced with a 3.5mm jack port.
Xiaomi TV A 55″ is also more powerful than 43″. First the chip used is a quad-core Cortex-A55 + GPU Mali G52 MC1 which is matched with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage compared to a quad-core Cortex-A55 + GPU Mali G31 MP2 with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. This model also does not support Dolby Vision display, HDR is limited to larger models only.
For the 32-inch model later, the screen resolution is limited to HD (720p) only and the audio system is only basic and there is no DTS:X. The cheaper selling price for this model will be announced later.
