A total of 37.9 Million Pixel Devices Sold Since Launching In 2016

Samsung and Apple sell hundreds of millions of smartphones each year with them being the two largest manufacturers each year. Other manufacturers can only look on with envy at the high sales recorded by these two giants. According to a report from IDC, since its launch in 2016 the number of Pixel phones sold has been lower than a quarter of iPhone sales.

An estimated 37.9 million Pixel phones have been released by Google over the past seven years. A very low amount compared to other manufacturers. But Pixel sales are on the rise with them selling 7.2 million devices last year. The Pixel's biggest market is not the United States but Japan.

The main issue with the Google Pixel is not that it is an underpowered smartphone but that it is not widely marketed. Even though their Tensor G3 chip isn't the best on the market, many want to own a Pixel just for its camera capabilities. More disappointingly there are many Pixel exclusive features that can only be enjoyed by those sitting in certain markets.

If the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro enter the Malaysian market like the Nexus series before, are you interested in buying them?
