Adobe Firefly Updated With More Realistic Image Generation Capability


Adobe has introduced a new model for their Firefly generative artificial intelligence (AI) earlier this morning. With this Firefly can generate images that look more realistic when compared to the models used before. This new capability can be enjoyed by users of the web version of Photoshop, Illustrator and Firefly software.



Firefly Image 2 The model is trained using more images from Adobe Stock and various other licensed images. The increase in the ability to generate can be seen on the face, skin, body and fingers of the people who have been causing problems for Firefly. This at the same time allows the Generative Fill feature in Photoshop to generate images that look more realistic without noticeable errors.



Adobe also announced that since its launch six months ago, Firefly has generated more than 3 billion images based on user-entered promos. Adobe Firefly can be accessed for free by users until November 1st with limited credits given to Creative Cloud depending on the plan subscribed to.
