Apple Is Developing Vision Pro That Is More Comfortable To Wear

Apple Vision Pro will go on sale next year only in the United States first. Among the initial issues reported by early users is that it is still heavy and therefore uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple is currently developing a new Vision Pro that is more comfortable to wear.

This will be done by producing a lighter and smaller headset. The pressure on the neck experienced by Vision Pro users is expected to be resolved with the second generation Vision Pro headset. So far all VR/AR headsets have the same issue that they are not very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

In tropical countries such as Malaysia, for example, the forehead, eyes, nose and cheeks will begin to sweat after wearing the headset for 15 minutes. Meta is further ahead in solving this issue as the set to their Quest 3 is 30% thinner and lighter. With the development of screen and lens technology, perhaps a comfortable headset will be developed in the near future.

Apple and Meta both have the same goal of dominating the headset market. But with the price of the device still quite expensive, perhaps this will only be achieved after several iterations of the headset are launched.
