Apple now seems to no longer offer customer support services through social platforms like X or even YouTube. This is reported to officially start on October 1, 2023, where no more Apple employees will help users with problems through the social media platform.
According to a MacRumors report, around 150 Apple employees in their social media and official forums have been laid off. The @AppleSupport profile on X now states it is a place for users to receive tips and tutorials on Apple products. Meanwhile when the message is sent, the bot will reply for the user to refer to the Apple website.
Even on YouTube, Apple no longer responds to problematic user comments. Their forum page, the Apple Support Community, will also only be active for a while before being stopped completely. After this, users can only get help through the Apple website or through the Apple Support app on Apple devices to contact their technicians directly.
