Automattic, the company behind WordPress and Tumblr, has also announced the acquisition of another popular service, Texts.
Texts is one of the messaging applications that integrates various services in it, and makes it easier for you to manage communication. You can connect WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, Messenger and so on to Texts, and then follow the conversation directly through Texts only.
This at the same time facilitates the management of messaging services in one location easily and there is no need to open various different applications for management of messaging and communication.
Automattic says they previously started with WordPress which made publishing easier, and later expanded to ecommerce support through WooCommerce, Pocket Cast for audio, and social sharing through Tumblr. With the acquisition of Texts, Automattic now also joins the messaging arena which also has high competition in the market. With this takeover, it was also announced that Texts will soon be introduced to mobile devices.
