Last week, Intel launched their 14th generation desktop processor chip series called Raptor Lake Refresh. Recently, benchmark scores for another 14th generation Intel processing chip were revealed, but this time for laptops.
The processing chip in question is the Intel Core i7-14700HX found on the PugetBench benchmark website, where it was tested with benchmarks using Adobe PhotoShop software.
What is known about this laptop processor chip is that it is an HX model, which is typically used for high-powered laptop systems, such as gaming and professional productivity laptops.
When compared to the same Intel CPU before, namely the Intel Core i7-13700HX, it is expected to come with eight performance cores (P-cores) and eight efficiency cores (E-cores), but since all Raptor Lake Refresh chips have 50 percent more cores than the previous model, it can be expected that the CPU for this class of laptops will also probably come with the same core offering, and in the case of this Intel Core i7-14700HX, as many as 8 P-core cores and 12 E-core cores.
So far it is still unknown when Intel will start announcing the presence of Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs, but with the Meteor Lake computer processing chip expected to arrive at the end of December, it will probably be shown first during the CES 2024 event in Las Vegas soon.
