Boost And CelcomDigi Collaborate To Introduce Mastercard Prepaid Cards With BNPL Support

Boost and CelcomDigi have now announced a collaboration, and introduced their own prepaid card called the Beyond Card. This prepaid card comes in collaboration with Mastercard, and at the same time offers BNPL support through it.

This prepaid card allows users to make payments through the balance in Boost Wallet, or also use credit allowed under the pay later feature called Boost PayFlex.

This at the same time brings a feature similar to a credit card, where you can use a prepaid card without having to top up - and pay for it later. Each user will be given their own spending limit - varying according to usage.

Boost says the prepaid card can be used at various merchants as usual, and the BNPL feature can be used at more than 100 million Mastercard retailers worldwide. Boost PayFlex allows payment installments of up to 3 months.

Registration for this Beyond Card is limited, and selected users will receive invitations starting October 9, 2023. Boost is expected to open it to Celcom users first, before expanding to Digi users.

In addition to payments, Beyond Card is also the first in Malaysia to provide Mastercard Travel Rewards, where users will receive rewards and cashback for purchases for certain items.

Celcom users can apply for the card through the boost application, and create a Premium Wallet account. Next, can press the Beyond Card button. Once completed, users will be provided with a virtual card first, with the option of applying for a physical card at a price of RM20.

For those of you who are interested, you can check this Beyond Card through Boost's official website today.
