In an effort to strengthen the venture capital environment in Malaysia, the government through Budget 2024 has now announced that it will focus on the centralization of venture capital agencies.
With this move, venture capital agencies such as Penjana Kapital and MAVCAP will be positioned under Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
This will further facilitate the process of expanding investment, in addition to further strengthening the venture capital environment in Malaysia.
We may hear more from the agency in the near future.
