This year, the government has introduced the FLYsiswa initiative, through which the government provides a subsidy of RM300 for the purchase of flight tickets for public university students.
This assistance is specifically for Sabah and Sarawak students studying in Peninsular Malaysia, as well as for Peninsular Malaysia students studying in Sabah and Sarawak.
For the year 2024, this initiative will continue, and is expected to benefit nearly 60,000 students from underprivileged families.
