Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today presented the 2024 Budget, at the same time showing various initiatives that will be implemented in 2024. One of the things touched on is the service tax rate, which is from the existing 6%, to 8%.
However, the 6% rate will be maintained for some services, including food and beverage services, telecommunications, car parking and logistics.
With this move, Malaysia is expected to continue to generate additional income, but at the same time not burden the consumer much by controlling a sector so as not to be affected by the increase in this service tax.
