A few days ago, the Minister of Communications and Digital, Fahmi Fadzil, said that 5G coverage had reached 70.2% in populated areas in Malaysia. Today, Budget 2024 has announced allocations for cyber security.
The government will allocate as much as RM60 million for CyberSecurity to develop a 5G Cyber Security Testing framework and also local expertise on 5G technology. This is to prepare as protection against the threat of cyber attacks that can happen at any time.
