CelcomDigi is ready to announce the price update of their broadband plans, at the same time matching the new Unifi offer. In parallel, CelcomDigi announced that existing customers will receive new plan price updates from November 2023.
With this move, CelcomDigi is seen updating the subscription price of users, instead of offering an update to broadband speed. No contract period updates are implemented for this subscription plan renewal.
Through this update, here are the new monthly subscription prices for existing CelcomDigi Fiber users:
50Mbps – RM85 (RM75 after postpaid rebate)
100Mbps – RM99 (RM89 after postpaid rebate)
300Mbps – RM139 (RM97 after postpaid rebate)
500Mbps – RM159 (RM149 after postpaid rebate)
800Mbps – RM249
1Gbps – RM289 (RM269 after postpaid rebate)
This new price change is seen as likely not to provide a very significant price difference to existing customers. This is because the rebate value is now reduced for postpaid users to only RM10 (and RM0 for 800Mbps plans) – compared to before where the rebate reached up to RM30 per month. In fact, users of the 50Mbps plan do not enjoy any price change compared to before if they enjoy the postpaid rebate, and have to continue paying RM75 per month.
So, do you prefer this rebate method or the one implemented by Unifi?
