Crypto frenzy has died down somewhat compared to the heat of early 2021. Although the use of crypto in everyday life is low, Ferrari announced they will start accepting payments for car purchases using cryptocurrency.
At the initial stage, Ferrari cars can be purchased using cryptocurrency in the United States first before being expanded to Europe in 2024. The cryptocurrency accepted is Bitcoin, Ether, and stablecoin USD through the BitPay service. Steps were taken to accept cryptocurrencies because of the high demand among young customers who are investors in the world of cryptocurrencies.
Buying a luxury car is synonymous with crypto investors around the world. Ferrari is not the first company to accept crypto payments. A few years ago in Malaysia a Proton dealer accepted crypto payments before it was suspended for doing so without the company's permission.
