With most products that have begun to integrate artificial intelligence systems, it simultaneously makes the use of certain products and applications more productive and makes tasks easier. Most recently, Google has updated the Files by Google application which is their smart file manager (early version of Nearby Share) with Smart Search support.
With this feature, Files can scan the entire internal storage of the user's device to find important documents. This feature is quite smart as it can separate ID cards, documents such as plane tickets, medical related documents, and many other search support.
This feature can be accessed through a new tab named Important in the bottom bar. According to Android Police, this feature will also allow Files to read the content of each document or image to identify the type of document but does not support searching for content in those documents.
This feature is being rolled out gradually to all Android users. Currently Files by Google on our Android devices still does not have this feature. You can check for updates to this app on the Play Store and try this feature yourself.
