Recently, Anthropic has introduced an artificial intelligence-based chatbot offering to Malaysian users, named Claude AI. From our experiments, it is still in its early stages and still can't do as many big things as ChatGPT or Google Bard for now. However, one of the interesting things about Claude AI is the ability to summarize PDF documents, letters and so on – one of the advantages compared to ChatGPT developed by OpenAI.
Still, the future for its parent company looks very exciting. After Amazon expressed its intention to invest, now Google has also agreed to invest up to $2 billion in Anthropic.
For the startup, Google will invest $500 million, and the remaining $1.5 billion will be invested in stages.
This also simultaneously strengthens Google's position in the arena of artificial intelligence. Google was previously one of the first to invest heavily in the artificial intelligence arena and took over Deepmind. Google also already has a stake of 10% in Anthropic through an initial investment in the company.
