Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have been officially launched just now. Looking in general both offer the same design but feature different interesting internal hardware to reach their respective target users.
The Google Pixel 8 Pro uses a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,400nits peak brightness. This is also matched with the Google Tensor G3 chip, 12GB RAM memory and 256GB internal storage for the mainstay. The main camera uses a 50MP wide + 48MP telephoto + 48MP ultra-wide sensor, while the selfie camera is 10.5MP. The device also packs a 5,050mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 23W wireless. There is a skin temperature sensor placed next to the device's camera.
Google Pixel 8 is equipped with a 6.2-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Also included is the Google Tensor G3 chip, 8GB RAM memory and internal storage up to 256GB for the mainstay. The battery is 4,575mAh with 27W fast charging and 18W wireless. Then followed by a 50MP wide + 12MP ultra-wide main camera and a 10.5MP selfie camera that completes this device.
Google also improved the camera system on the device with interesting features such as Pro Controls, Best Take, Photo Unblur and Magic Editor. In addition to also offering upgraded AI-based features such as a virtual assistant that can now describe what is on the screen. Then followed by the Call Screen feature that can detect and filter more spam calls.
Both new devices also come with free VPN by Google One along with 7 years of OS updates and security. Retail prices start at $699 for the Pixel 8 and $999 for the Pixel 8 Pro.
