Google Reportedly Developing Pixel Flip

Tomorrow, October 4, 2023, the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be launched together with the Pixel Watch 2. In addition, the stable version of Android 14 is also expected to be distributed to existing Pixel devices. Google is also expected to announce a new processing chip, Tensor G3 which again focuses on AI and also camera support.

The new products have not yet been officially launched, now there is a leaked information saying that Google is developing a new folding phone. The device is codenamed Comet and is said to be a possible future foldable pixel phone, and its initial code has been found in the Pixel Buds app.

Early sources stated that this code name is most likely for the Pixel Flip which is reported to be launched in 2025. The year 2025 means that the chip that will be used is the Tensor G5 which is expected to bring big changes, as the Tensor G4 for 2024 is said to be more or less the same as the Tensor G3 will be launched tomorrow.

The Pixel Flip is expected to feature an open-close design like the Samsung Galaxy Flip device, rather than opening like the book offered by the Pixel Fold. It may bring a lower selling price than the Pixel Fold, thus leading to more users being able to access the foldable device.

Anyway, let's all look forward to further developments regarding the Pixel Flip in the coming months.
