Honor Magic6 Will Use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 With Built-in AI

In addition to confirming the use of the Snapdragon X Elite chip on their PCs released next year, Honor also confirmed that the Honor Magic6 series will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The Honor Magic6 is the second device confirmed to use this chip after the Xiaomi 14 yesterday.

What makes Honor's announcement interesting is that, on Magic6 the device will have a built-in LLM AI with 7 billion parameters. This allows virtual assistants with AI to run directly on the device without the need for an internet connection.

In a demo shown at the Snapdragon Summit, the virtual assistant can be instructed to produce short videos for children. If you have more than one child it intelligently asks which child the video wants to be produced. Then after the video is found in the device, instructions can be given to generate a video with only smiling children. The AI then generates the required images directly from within the device without any user intervention.

This artificial intelligence will also be used by Honor for eye tracking on the Mini Capsule system like Dynamic Island on the Magic6 later. There is still no date when the Honor Magic6 will be launched at this point.
