Catcha Digital already has a special subsidiary focusing on publishing and digital media, called iMedia. There are several companies that have been taken over by iMedia, including OhMedia, BeautifulNara and so on.
Today, it was announced that iMedia will take over two more local digital media companies. The first is an influencer-focused platform, known as Ittify. For information, iMedia already has a 51% stake in Ittify, and with the latest announcement, they will take over the remaining 49% stake at a value of RM3.43 million.
Ittify is said to have around 7,000 influencers registered on their platform, and has partnered with various brands to promote their respective offerings to date.
In addition, at the same time, iMedia will obtain a 30% stake in Headline Media at a value of RM1.24 million. Headline Media has several brands under them, including WeirdKaya and EzLokal.
The addition of these two companies is expected to further strengthen iMedia's position in the digital media arena in Malaysia with reach covering multiple languages.
