Israel Wants To Use Starlink As A Backup Communication System In Case Of Outage

The situation of the conflict between Israel and Gaza is getting more and more anxious lately due to counterattacks carried out by the Zionist regime. An estimated 6000 bombs were dropped in a week killing thousands of Gazans who had no way out. Although the worst affected are the people of Gaza, Israel is today reported to be in talks with Starlink to use a backup internet system in case their main system is disrupted.

This was announced by Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi on his X account status. At this point the Starlink service is not yet offered in Israel. If the deal goes through, it will be the second time Starlink has been used in a military conflict.

In Ukraine, hundreds of Starlink units are used by the Ukrainian military because the existing internet network was destroyed after more than a year of conflict with Russia. The irony here is that while Israel wants to use Starlink as a backup internet system, Israel is considering shutting down cellular and internet systems in Gaza.
