iTunes For Windows Now Provides Access To Audiobooks And Podcasts

iTunes is one of Apple's applications offered for Windows users. It is used not only to backup Apple devices through a Windows computer, but can also be used to update the iPhone's operating system, transfer files and so on. In addition, iTunes also allows Windows users to buy content from Apple such as movies and songs.

Most recently, Apple has distributed the iTunes 12.13 update which gives users access to a library of audiobooks as well as content from Apple Podcasts. Both of these audio contents can only be accessed if the Windows device already has the Apple TV and Apple Music apps installed.

For now, the Apple TV and Apple Music applications are still in the testing phase and are limited to selected countries only. In other words, if your Windows device is set to Malaysia – this iTunes update will have limited functionality. In my attempt, only the podcast was accessible. Even that is sometimes successfully played and sometimes receives a notification that the content is not offered in Malaysia.

With this healthy development, let's all look forward to the Apple TV and Apple Music applications being widely offered, as well as allowing local users to also enjoy a variety of audio content through Windows computers.
