JAKIM Reminds Law Using Vape Or Electronic Cigarette Is Illegal

 


With various discussions involving the Cigarette Ending Generation Bill (GEG), various parties are starting to discuss cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and even vaping which can be harmful to health.



In parallel, now JAKIM is issuing a warning again, reminding that for those who are Muslim, the use of electronic cigarettes or vaping is illegal. This is because 'illah is harmful and wasteful.


In addition to smoking electronic cigarettes and vaping, shisha and shisha sticks are also illegal because they cause harm to the human body.


The Fatwa Committee Special Muzakarah of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia has previously ruled that the use of electronic cigarettes and vape is illegal, since 2015.
