Kocek Launched at Pos Malaysia – Easy and Fast Coin Exchange Service

Pertama Digital is one of the companies that offers a number of services for Malaysian users, including MyPay which facilitates business involving the government, as well as e-Jamin. Most recently, they also came with a coin exchange service, called Kocek.

Kocek was previously offered only in a few locations, but today they announced a partnership with Pos Malaysia – making it even easier for users who want to exchange coins.

According to the partnership, it is estimated that around 30% of the coins (or 200 million coins) issued by Bank Negara Malaysia are not returned for redistribution every year, where they are kept at home, in jars and drawers, and not used. With this Kocek initiative, it makes it easier for users to return coins, and get digital cash value transferred to their bank accounts.

Kocek was previously part of MyPay, and was known as MyPay Coin Conversion. In addition to taking coins from consumers, Kocek also provides services for the purchase of coins by businesses and merchants.

Through today's launch with Pos Malaysia, Kocek can be found in four locations in the Klang Valley, and will be expanded to approximately 30 branches by the end of 2023.

Kocek currently operates in three main locations in the Klang Valley, including Subang Parade, Berjaya Times Square and NSK Trade City in Kuchai Lama, in addition to four Pos Malaysia branches, namely Kuala Lumpur Post Office, Shah Alam Post Office, Kajang Post Office 2020 and Bangi Town Post Office.
