Leaked Exynos 2400 Benchmark Scores Confirm Use of 10 CPU Cores

Samsung is expected to use the Eyxnos 2400 chip on the Galaxy S24 and S24+ next year when the devices launch. The news about the reuse of the Eynos chip was greeted negatively by many readers who felt that the Snapdragon chip was more powerful. Yesterday Geekbench benchmark scores for the Exynos 2400 were leaked with it being confirmed to come with ten CPU cores.

It scored 2067 in the single-core test and 6520 in the multi-core test. This is a higher score than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (1922/5017) and A16 Bionic (2524/6317) but lower than the A17 Pro (2863/7128).

The CPU core configuration on the Exynos 2400 is 1+2+3+4 with a maximum speed of 3.21GHz. The type of CPU used is still a mystery but it is most likely a Cortex X4. Samsung plans to use Exynos chips designed for the Galaxy by 2025. Most likely it will offer longer Android update support and security patches on par with the seven-year supported Pixel 8 series.
