Maybank is now informing all their users that starting 31 October 2023, all Secure2U activations for the first time, as well as activations on new devices, must be done through Maybank ATMs.
In addition to new users, this change will also affect existing users who want to switch to a new phone after October 31, 2023.
Maybank stated that this is an additional verification step in continuing to improve security, in line with Bank Negara Malaysia's latest security standards.
Maybank Secure2U TAC
For related users, you need to download the MAE application and then register Secure2U through it. Next, need to go to a nearby Maybank ATM, and insert your ATM card, enter the PIN. Next on the main menu, select on “Secure2U Activation”, and follow the instructions on the screen.
After activating Secure2U, users need to wait at least 12 hours before being able to use Secure2U in transaction verification.
