Mark Zuckerberg announced today that they will soon add channel support to Facebook and Messenger. This support is seen to be extended to both platforms after it was introduced on WhatsApp a few months ago.
With this move, it will allow Facebook Pages and others using Facebook to send one-way communication messages. These one-way messages can include text, images, videos, audio and GIFs to those who join the channel.
Facebook says they are currently testing the feature, and aim to roll it out to everyone in the next few weeks.
