Microsoft Files Patent For Feature To Automatically Upload Attachments To Their Various Services

Have you ever thought about how easy the communication process between employees, clients and so on would be if the software you use to send emails or messages can upload attachment files for you automatically, without you having to search for them first?

Microsoft today is found to have filed a patent that allows their software and services to automatically upload side files based on the text input into the text box.

How it is done is that any Microsoft software will read the typed input, and if they see the selected words written, such as file or document, a small menu will open and give the user a choice of what file to upload.

More interestingly, the given file selection will be further refined depending on the context detected by Microsoft's artificial intelligence when reading the text written by the user. Users can then select the files they want to upload as attachments.

For now, it is seen that this function can be used by the Outlook software, but it would not be surprising if it is also introduced to other software such as Teams, OneDrive and so on. For now it is not yet known whether this patent will be awarded to Microsoft or not.
