Recently, Windows 11 has been updated with the Windows CoPilot feature, which is a generative AI system that allows users to communicate and chat like humans with AI, as well as generate images based on proms entered by users. Windows CoPilot is said to be a new virtual assistant for Windows users, including one day managing files on the computer.
Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that the upcoming Windows devices will support both new processing chips, which are Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite and also Intel Meteor Lake. The combination of these two chips allows Microsoft to realize a new generation of AI computers.
Among the things that Microsoft is expected to do is to replace the use of the Start button with Windows CoPilot. It will allow users to give simple commands to launch applications, access things on the computer, help users learn new things, answer questions and generate things like documents, artwork, access Windows settings and more.
For now, they are aware that Windows CoPilot still has limited functionality. This comprehensive artificial intelligence system is expected to be integrated into Windows 12 which may arrive around 2024.
