NVIDIA, which produces various chips and software widely used in the artificial intelligence arena, has now announced a collaboration with Foxconn in jointly developing an "AI factory".
As many are aware, Foxconn is a familiar name in the production of electronic goods - not only devices such as the iPhone, but also expanding its offering to the production of electric vehicles. In early January 2023, Foxconn and NVIDIA also announced cooperation in the development of an autonomous vehicle platform.
Through this "AI factory", it will focus on a data center that gathers various data involving production, and uses it in the final production.
Through the example given involving the production of vehicles, when the vehicle is marketed it will be used by users and collect various data regarding usage and how it works. The data will be channeled directly to this "AI factory", which will then improve and implement it in the next production.
With this move, Foxconn also wants to shift from a company focused on production services to a company focused on a solution platform. Among the arenas that are also seen in addition to smart production is the development of smart cities.
