The secret of the OnePlus Open device has finally been revealed today after its official mockup image was leaked via the Winfuture site a while ago. In terms of design, it has a very similar design to the Oppo Find N3 which has also been leaked before, which is not surprising because this has been confirmed by Pete Lau himself before.
It is of the Fold type with an outer screen said to be 6.3″ and a foldable inner screen of 7.8″. It is rumored that the OLED panels from BOE are used by OnePlus in their devices and not those produced by Samsung. This makes it a superior device compared to the Find N2 and N2 before it.
In terms of processor, it may use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with memory up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB storage which is quite small. You can see the drop-down switch on the side that has been a feature of OnePlus devices since time immemorial. It is also interesting to see the body of the device which is boxy and not rounded like the Find N2. Despite and closed position, OnePlus Open still looks thin.
The back panel has two different designs. One is made of glass and the other with a leather panel like a digital camera body. The large camera bump houses the tri-camera with Hasselblad branding quite prominent. It reminds us of the design of the Oppo Find X5 Pro launched this year. There is no detailed information on the lens and sensor configuration used at this time.
