OnePlus has now officially announced the name of their foldable screen smartphone, the OnePlus Open. Also announced together is the launch date of the smartphone, which is 19 October 2023.
OnePlus Open uses a design similar to the "Fold" family of devices produced by other brands, including Oppo (the parent company of OnePlus itself). It allows users to pick it up and use it in the form of a phone, or open it up to access a larger display panel the size of a tablet.
OnePlus is expected to use a foldable phone design that is thinner than other competitors, besides including camera support with Hasselblad technology. The hinge part is also expected to be given attention that ensures the phone can be closed tightly and neatly.
With this latest OnePlus partnership, let's all look forward to this October 19 to see for ourselves the new OnePlus Open technology offering.
