The Samsung Galaxy S24 has not yet been launched but now there are reports that not all models offered will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. According to The Elec report, only the Galaxy S24 Ultra series will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip. On the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 chips will be used according to the market.
Both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy and Exynos 2400 chips will be manufactured by Samsung's foundry with 3nm technology. Malaysia will typically receive Galaxy devices with Exynos chips. This tactic of offering devices with different chips has been done by Samsung for the past few years before in the S23 series no Exynos chip was used after the disappointment with the Exynos 2200 chip.
Samsung did not confirm this report because the device has not been launched yet. But it may be an expected move as Samsung does plan to offer the Galaxy S series with an Exynos chip developed specifically for the Galaxy series. The response to this news depends largely on Exynos' ability to compete with Snapdragon chips.
In Malaysia, the average prefers Snapdragon chips because they are consistently more powerful and don't have major issues. If you plan to buy the Galaxy S24 series in the future, will the use of an Exynos chip change your choice?
