PLUS Malaysia and Gentari today announced their collaboration in introducing mobile modular electric vehicle fast charging stations. This launch is done at Behrang Next Stop (Northern Direction).
According to PLUS, a total of four locations are proposed for the pilot test, namely at Behrang Side Station (North and South) in Perak and Senawang Side (North and South) in Negeri Sembilan. The other three locations that will be planned after that are at the Ajil Side Stop (North and South) and the Rest & Isolation Area, which is located on East Coast Highway 2 (LPT2), Terengganu.
Each of these locations offers up to 200kW of DC charging power, and four charging points are provided at each location. The interesting thing about this portable modular charger is that it is also equipped with a battery power storage system and uses solar energy. Since it comes with a modular design, it can be moved at any time according to the location that needs it.
PLUS and Gentari will launch this new offering in stages in 2023 and 2024 at the proposed locations.
