Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon X Series Chips For Computers

Two years ago, Qualcomm rebranded the processing chips for their mobile devices. From the use of a three-digit number to a single digit, for example the previous Snapdragon 888 then became the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Recently, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon X Series which is the new name for the processing chips that will be used in computers. Previously the chip name for computers used the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 format, while for Chromebooks it used the Snapdragon 7c format.

The Snapdragon X Series will use Oryon CPU technology which was developed together with the Nuvia team which is the team responsible for developing Apple Silicon chips and was later taken over by Qualcomm to develop their computer chips to compete with Apple.

Qualcomm will reveal more details about this new chip at the end of October along with the announcement of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and some updates to their existing chips. Let's wait together.
