In the last week, Qualcomm has shown a number of new processing chips for various types of devices, and among them is the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, which was developed to compete against the chips produced by Apple, Intel and even AMD, specifically for devices of the class of laptops and computers desktop.
Recently, the processing chip seems to have gone through several graphics benchmark tests, specifically to test the capabilities of the built-in Adreno graphics chip, which is said to match the graphics capabilities of a Microsoft Xbox Series S console.
The two software used to benchmark this chip are 3DMark Wild Life Extreme and also the computer game Control. With the 3DMark software, the Snapdragon X Elite chip is seen with an average frame rate of 39.2FPS, which is almost 12FPS higher than the AMD Radeon 780M graphics chip and only slightly lower than the Apple M2 processing chip.
With the Control computer game test (1080p), the Snapdragon X Elite graphics chip was seen to be able to run the game at an average frame rate of 53FPS and consume as much as 23W of power. and this performance is seen to be close to the performance of AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS and Apple M2 processing chips.
It is expected that this Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite SoC will be able to be used by Chromebook class laptops and Windows for ARM which will give it the same performance as what is shown on laptops such as Apple Macbook and so on.
